Greater Noida, Aug. 21 -- A 38-year-old man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly strangling an acquaintance after an argument at the Roza Jalalpur cricket ground in Greater Noida on August 1, police said.
The victim (28) who worked at the cricket ground and resided alone on its premises. The accused was a carpenter and lived in the Roza Jalalpur area.
The two had become acquainted when the accused visited the grounds to watch matches. On August 1, according to the police, they had been drinking on the premises when they got into an argument. The victim then pushed him to the ground. "In anger, he strangled the victim," an officer said. The victim, who then fled, was finally arrested on Thursday from Greater Noida. HTC
