Mamata prevented from meeting family of girl suspected to be raped, murdered: TMC
India, July 6 -- The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has said that heavy police forces were deployed and barricades were put outside the residences of former West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee and parliamentarian Abhishek Banerjee's residences to prevent them from visiting the family of a 12-year-old girl, who was allegedly raped and murdered in Baruipur near Kolkata. In a post on X, the TMC said heavy police deployment and route marches were being conducted suspiciously outside the residences.
