India, June 17 -- A hotel owner on Pakhowal Road has been booked for allegedly harbouring four alleged aides of a Europe-based gangster who were arrested on Monday for their suspected involvement in an extortion racket and for possessing heroin and an illegal firearm.

The accused, identified as Mohit Negi, allegedly allowed the suspects to stay at his hotel without obtaining their identity documents and helped them evade police scrutiny, investigators said.

The development comes a day after the special branch
