India, March 8 -- Ludhiana In yet another attack targeting newspaper vendors, a 64-year-old hawker from Haibowal was robbed by two bike-borne assailants near Lakkar Bridge on Saturday morning.
The victim, Chaman Lal, said he was heading towards Mata Rani Chowk around 7 am to collect newspapers when the two unidentified men intercepted him. The assailants allegedly overpowered him, threatened him with a knife, and fled with Rs.13,000 in cash.
