New Delhi, Oct. 29 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that the Khelo India Sports Goods Manufacturing Scheme cleared by the union cabinet on Wednesday will be a game changer. The initiative to boost the industry has an outlay of Rs.1,856.67 crore from the financial year 2026-27 to FY 2033-34. The union cabinet, chaired by the PM, approved the scheme which plans to bring together support for investment, technology, innovation and market development to position India as a globally competitive hub in sports goods manufacturing sector.
