New Delhi, May 5 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against Rajni Kant Agrawal, former chairman and managing director (CMD) of WAPCOS (Water and Power Consultancy Services) for alleged financial irregularities, officials said on Monday. According to the ministry officials, the probe was initiated after the WAPCOS and National Projects Construction Corporation Limited (NPCC)- two central public sector enterprises wholly owned by the government and under the administrative control of the ministry of Jal Shakti - wrote on April 24 to the CBI to investigate corruption cases involving their senior officials and file FIRs.
