New Delhi, July 23 -- The proposed India-US trade deal, American tariffs, defence and security figured in talks on Wednesday between US secretary of state Marco Rubio and external affairs minister S Jaishankar on the margins of Asean-related meetings in the Philippines. Jaishankar said on social media that his meeting with Rubio in Manila focused on areas that are a priority for the India-US comprehensive global strategic partnership, including trade and tariffs, energy, defence abd security, critical minerals and artificial intelligence.
