New Delhi, Aug. 10 -- A 20-year-old Indian man in the US allegedly killed his girlfriend, a US citizen who planned to break up with him because he had physically and sexually assaulted her, and then fled to Germany where he was arrested before he could take a flight to India. The accused, identified as Varun Batchigari by the authorities, strangulated 19-year-old Julissa Rubi Salazar inside her apartment near the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, on Thursday, the New York Post reported.
