India, Oct. 10 -- The INDIA bloc is gearing up for a mega protest on Monday, sources said. This comes as the crackdown in Delhi continued on Saturday over protests against CEC Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

TMC chief and former West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has decided to stay in the national capital and join INDIA bloc's protest on Monday.

Banerjee reversed her travel plans and decided to extend her stay in Delhi, canceling her scheduled return to Kolkata.

Meanwhile, on Saturday afternoon, Banerjee was detained. Earlier, she sat on dharna on the road near South Avenue bus stand, as HT reported earlier.
