New Delhi, May 27 -- Field operations under the houselisting exercise for Census 2027 are underway in more than 95% of Delhi's digitally mapped House Listing Blocks (HLBs) in MCD areas, officials said on Tuesday.
Work is currently ongoing in 44,435 of the city's 45,791 HLBs, while the exercise in NDMC and Delhi Cantonment Board areas was completed on May 15.
Officials said the houselisting in MCD areas will end on June 15, after which population enumeration will begin in February 2027. The ongoing heatwave has posed difficulties for staff in densely populated areas.htc
