Karnal, Oct. 28 -- Deputy commissioner Anand Kumar Sharma on Tuesday instructed the revenue department to verify the details of at least 13,000 farmers, whose paddy have not reached the grain markets even after a month.

At a meeting chaired at his office, the DC directed the concerned SDMs of the district to have these farmers verified through the patwaris and revenue department, so that the status of the paddy can be accurately ascertained.

"The verification process should be completed seriously, and necessary action should be taken after verifying the relevant information," the DC said.
