gross Direct tax collections grew 12.5% in FY27 so far
New Delhi, June 19 -- Gross direct tax collections in the current financial year 2026-27 up to June 17 have seen a 12.46% annualised growth to about Rs.6.10 lakh crore, driven by higher corporate and non-corporate tax revenues, according to government data released on Thursday.
Gross corporate tax (CT) revenue in the current period (April 1 to June 17, 2026) increased by 11.32% to Rs.2,76,538.46 crore compared to Rs.2,48,415.90 crore collected during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
Gross non-corporate tax (NCT) collections in 2026-27 (up to June 17) jumped by 12.05% to Rs.3,14,653.07 crore as compared to Rs.2,80,790.28 crore in the same period of 2025-26, data showed. NCT is predominantly personal or individual tax.
