Google Maps, design flaw or AAP-era planning? Barapullah traffic mess triggers blame game
India, Oct. 7 -- It hasn't been long since the Barapullah Phase-III flyover was thrown open to the public, but instead of becoming a means to ease congestion, it is in focus over a traffic mess.
While the Delhi Traffic Police and the Public Works Department pointed to multiple factors behind the congestion, BJP minister Parvesh Verma blamed the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government for the project's design and planning.
The finger-pointing has also turned to Google Maps, with the traffic police and PWD officials alleging that it is not reflecting real-time congestion, directing more commuters to the already-busy route.
