New Delhi, Sept. 24 -- Country's apex food regulator has initiated penal action against multiple e-commerce operators for food safety and regulatory non-compliances, it said in a statement on Wednesday. The food regulator- Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI)- said in a social media post that it initiated action against Amazon, Swiggy Instamart, Bigbasket, Flipkart India, and Zepto for selling food items such as dates, milk, yoghurt etc. with misleading claims through their platforms.
