New Delhi, June 7 -- The National Investigation Agency (NIA) said on Saturday that former Trinamool Congress MLA, Saokot Molla, who was arrested on Friday evening, had directed the other accused to make the crude bomb that had exploded in Bhangar near Kolkata in March, just ahead of the West Bengal assembly elections.
One person had been killed and several were injured in the blast on March 19.
Molla, ex-MLA from Canning Purba assembly constituency, was on the run till now. "He was picked up from West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district following continued searches by NIA as part of its investigation in the case, in which a crude bomb had exploded during manufacturing ahead of the West Bengal assembly elections," the agency said in a statem...
