New Delhi, April 18 -- Floor leaders of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) held a meeting after the Constitution Amendment Bill seeking to implement reservation for women in legislatures in 2029 and increase the number of seats of the Lok Sabha were defeated on Friday in the Lok Sabha. Union ministers JP Nadda, Dharmendra Pradhan and Arjun Ram Meghwal were among the BJP leaders who participated in the meeting held at Parliament House complex. Among the ruling NDA allies who attended the meeting were Union ministers Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu (TDP), Jayant Chaudhary (RLP), Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh (JD-U) and Chirag Paswan (LJP-RV), sources said.
