Kolkata, June 10 -- Ujjal Biswas, former West Bengal correctional home minister, was arrested on Tuesday on charges of siphoning off relief materials such as blankets, tarpaulins and sarees among others, police said. "Biswas was arrested on Tuesday on charges of cheating, theft and misappropriation of relief materials. He will be produced before the court on Wednesday," said a senior officer of Krishnanagar police district in Nadia. Biswas a TMC legislator from Krishnanagar Dakshin assembly seat.
