Ebola scare: Surveillance, preparations intensified at Pune airport
India, June 5 -- Pune International Airport has intensified health surveillance and preparedness measures following the World Health Organization's declaration of an Ebola disease outbreak caused by the Bundibugyo virus as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC), officials said on Thursday.
The Airport Public Health Office (APHO) has implemented a comprehensive response mechanism in line with advisories issued by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
