India, Aug. 16 -- A disturbing case came to light in Delhi on Sunday, where a woman was allegedly raped twice by a man she had befriended through social media. According to the police, the victim also alleged that the accused threatened to kill her when she resisted.

The woman, 22, who is a makeup artist, was allegedly raped twice after being drugged, reportedly news agency PTI, citing police sources.

Following a deterioration in her condition, she was admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.

Police have registered an FIR in the case and are searching for the accused.

The woman connected with the accused on social media last year, the complaint lodged by the woman revealed. He had introduced himself as a makeup artist.
