India, Sept. 17 -- Protein powder is often associated with gym-goers, bodybuilders, and people trying to build muscle. But protein is not only needed for workouts. Your body uses it every day to maintain muscles, repair tissues, support immunity and keep you feeling full. The bigger question is whether you actually need a supplement to meet those needs. A nationwide survey by LocalCircles and Country Delight found that 6 in 10 urban Indians surveyed were not consuming protein-rich foods daily, highlighting a gap in everyday protein intake. So, if you do not exercise, should you still consider protein powder? The answer depends largely on your diet, protein requirement and individual health needs.
