New Delhi, May 29 -- Outgoing chief minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah could not meet former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Thursday as his flight from Bengaluru was diverted to Jaipur due to bad weather over Delhi airport. According to two people aware of the details, Siddaramaiah had boarded a chartered flight to Delhi, hours after he submitted his resignation letter. The plan was to meet Gandhi ahead of the formation of a new cabinet and the upcoming Legislative Council polls in Karnataka. htc
