New Delhi, May 12 -- Hot air balloon rides introduced last year at Delhi's Baansera and Asita parks have been suspended since March due to rising temperatures and will resume in October, Delhi Development Authority officials said. The rides, launched in November, initially operated through the week before being restricted to weekends following a lukewarm response. Officials said Baansera drew better footfall than Asita. The DDA and Air Safari, the company operating the rides, will review the project during the suspension period, including concerns over ticket pricing, officials said. Tickets cost Rs.3,000 plus GST per person for a 10-minute tethered balloon ride rising up to 150 feet.
