NEW DELHI, July 1 -- A Delhi Police Head Constable has been booked on charges of rape after a 38-year-old woman alleged that he sexually assaulted her on the pretext of marriage, police officials said.
A senior police officer said the Burari resident approached police on June 25 and alleged that the head constable raped her. "She said that the two were living together and that he had promised to marry her but did not and forced himself on her on multiple occasions," he said. Based on her complaint, a case was registered at Burari police station. "The accused is posted in crime branch and administrative action has been taken against him," he added.HTC
