New Delhi, April 27 -- #Staged, #SecretService and #WHCD topped global trends on X for several hours after the White House Correspondents' Dinner attack, before later slipping down the rankings. Social media was rife with conspiracy theories from influencers, pundits and other users across X, Instagram and Bluesky, with both left- and right-wing accounts claiming the shooting was staged. The highest engagement came from the US, Europe and Australia, followed by the UK, India, parts of Africa and south-east Asia.
