Cong manifesto vows Rs.2k/month for women
Kolkata, April 8 -- Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday released his party's manifesto for the West Bengal assembly polls in Kolkata, pitching the party as a "third alternative" centred on welfare and development. "We are contesting all seats in Bengal after a long time. Our effort is to offer a serious and structured alternative," Kharge said.
The manifesto promises Rs.2,000 per month for women, Rs.15,000 annually for farmers, and health insurance coverage of Rs.10 lakh for all citizens. It also proposes artificial intelligence centres in every district, industrial corridors, job creation, and filling government vacancies.
