India, July 21 -- Drinking up to five cups of black coffee a day is safe for most adults and does not raise the risk of cardiovascular disease, according to a new July 20 scientific statement from the American Heart Association (AHA). The review also suggests that moderate coffee consumption may even be linked to a lower risk of heart disease, stroke and heart failure, although experts stress that caffeine affects everyone differently.
