India, Sept. 13 -- China's Xi Jinping called for stronger Global South ties during the a session on Day 2 of Brics 2026 Summit on Sunday.

Xi also called for a rules-based international order at the Summit, saying global rules must be shaped by all countries. He said the "might makes right" approach should have been discarded and urged Global South nations to jointly uphold international law, sovereign equality, non-interference in internal affairs and the peaceful settlement of disputes, while ensuring rules are applied equally without double standards.
