cbi fir against RCAP: anil ambani denies allegations of wrongdoing
new Delhi, Sept. 19 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a first information report (FIR) against Reliance Capital Limited (RCAP), its former chairman Anil Ambani, former group managing director Satish Seth and unidentified public servants based on a complaint by the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), the agency said in a statement.
Ambani denied any wrongdoing.
LIC in its written complaint said it had subscribed to five non-convertible debentures (NCDs) issued by RCAP, aggregating to Rs.3,900 crore, between April 12, 2012, and March 9, 2018, the agency statement said. The insurer alleged that the investments were made as a result of "misrepresentation."
LIC said that the accused persons "entered a criminal conspiracy"...
