Bimstec members to strengThen cooperation to boost security
New Delhi, July 17 -- Members of the Bimstec grouping agreed on Thursday to bolster collaboration and knowledge-sharing to strengthen regional security and enhance institutional capacities to address a range of security threats.
This was a key outcome of a meeting of senior security officials of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (Bimstec), which was chaired by National Security Adviser Ajit Doval in New Delhi. The meeting was attended by NSAs and senior security officials of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
