Kolkata, May 28 -- Renowned Bengali movie director Anik Dutta died on Wednesday after falling from the roof of a multi-storey apartment building in Kolkata's Gariahat, with the police suspecting it to be a case of suicide, an officer aware of the matter said. Police said Dutta's wife lives in one of the flats in that building and that a suicide note was found on the roof. "He (Dutta) was found lying in a pool of blood on the driveway and was declared dead on arrival at Manipal Hospital in south Kolkata's Dhakuria.
