Bangladeshi national caught smuggling gold from Saudi inside undergarments at Delhi airport
India, Sept. 16 -- A Bangladeshi national was caught at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Monday. The passenger, as per customs officials, was caught smuggling gold from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
An official statement said the passenger landed at Delhi Airport's Terminal 3 after his flight from Jeddah. The passenger was then scheduled to board a flight for Dhaka, but was intercepted.
Officials added that a total of 1,596 grams of gold was found on the passenger, which was smuggled and concealed in his undergarments.
