India, May 19 -- LUCKNOW The arrest of Rajkumar Singh, 28, in the murder of Chandranath Rath, personal assistant to West Bengal chief minister Suvendu Adhikari, has brought the spotlight on the Ballia native's criminal background, interstate movements and alleged links with a wider network spanning Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal.

Investigators also conducted raids in Ghazipur searching for two more suspects identified as Sanjay Rai and Vinay Rai. They searched their houses without any breakthrough. Police briefly detained a relative of one of the suspects for questioning before releasing him later.
