New Delhi, July 7 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday said that 10 officers at the rank of Lt Colonel, major and engineers are under the scanner for alleged misappropriation of funds of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) by hiring ghost casual workers in two crucial border road projects in Ladakh. The federal agency carried out raids at 26 locations across 11 states and Union territories on Monday. It has registered four first information reports (FIRs) in the matter. The states/UTs covered in the searches include Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Delhi, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.
