Antil, Chopra complain against athletics coach
New Delhi, April 18 -- Two-time Paralympic champion Sumit Antil has levelled allegations of "verbal abuse and mental harassment" against his former coach Naval Singh.
Antil has been supported by two-time Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra who said the coach has also used "abusive language" against him and his family. Both javelin throwers have written to SAI demanding strict action against the coach, who is a Dronacharya awardee.
Naval is no longer Antil's coach but continues to train several athletes, including India's rising javelin thrower Sachin Yadav here. "Over a prolonged period I have personally experienced repeated instances of verbal abuse, humiliation and mental harassment under his conduct," Sumit wrote in his complaint on April 10...
