Karnal, Aug. 22 -- Congress member of Parliament (MP) from Ambala Varun Chaudhary has urged the Union government to reconsider the proposed Chandigarh-Yamunanagar railway line via Naraingarh, questioning the Centre's decision to reject the long-pending project on financial viability grounds.

The 90-km rail link, a longstanding demand of the region's residents, was found financially unviable by Northern Railway after examining a feasibility report prepared by the Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HRIDC).
