Lucknow, Oct. 3 -- Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Friday firmly ruled out any new alliances for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, stating that the same INDIA bloc partnership that performed strongly in the state during 2024 Lok Sabha polls would continue. Speaking to reporters in Lucknow, Yadav was asked about AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi's October 2 deadline for alliance discussions, particularly with the SP. He reiterated his earlier position and said, "The alliance that defeated BJP in 2024 - the INDIA bloc - scored the maximum seats in UP in 2024. The same SP alliance will continue in 2027 also."
