India, Sept. 20 -- Two people, including an eight-year-old girl, were killed and four others injured after being electrocuted near a Ganapati pandal in Mumbai's Lalbaug area early Sunday.

The incident occurred near the Kalachowki Vibhag Sarvajanik Ustav Mandal on Dattaram Lad Marg in Kalachowki around 2:20 am, amid large crowds in the area for the ongoing Ganapati festival, PTI reported.

According to police personnel at the site, five injured people were taken to Masina Hospital in Byculla, while others were shifted to Global Hospital in Parel.

At Masina Hospital, eight-year-old Raghni Ghanshyam Yadav was declared brought dead. Kismati Yadav, aunt of the girl, said the family was in the queue around 2 am when the incident occurred.
