NEW DELHI, June 1 -- A seven-month-old boy was allegedly kidnapped from Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital premises in Shahdara on Saturday after his mother left him in the care of a woman she had befriended a few days ago, police said on Sunday.
DCP (Shahdara) RP Meena said that Nazreen, 23, a resident of Seelampur, had become acquainted with an unidentified woman who had been meeting her regularly over the past week. On Saturday, the two travelled together to the hospital. "Nazreen handed over her infant son to the woman and went inside the hospital to obtain a medical slip. However, when she returned , she found both missing," the officer said. A case of kidnapping has been registered.
