New Delhi, June 28 -- Five pharmacists and two officials have been suspended with immediate effect following detection of irregularities during an investigation at various stores of the Central Procurement Agency (CPA), the chief minister's office said in a statement on Saturday. Chief minister Rekha Gupta said corruption and administrative negligence will not be tolerated in the government under any circumstances. The action came after the probe revealed serious lapses in the procurement, storage and management of medicines, the CMO said.
