4 drown in pond near temple in rajasthan: Police
Bharatpur, Aug. 31 -- Four of a family allegedly drowned in a pond near a temple in Rajasthan's Dholpur district early on Sunday, police said.
The incident took place around 4 am near the Heeraman Baba temple in Bijra village under the Angai police station area, when a man identified as Ravi Singh, 21, went to the pond for a bath and started drowning. Singh was accompanied by his three sisters- Manorma, 22, and Boto, both 25; and their cousin Kallo, 18- who tried to save their brother, but all four were swept away.
Angai police station assistant sub-inspector Mohan Singh said the four had gone to the pond to bathe before visiting the temple.
