India, June 4 -- At least three people were killed after a massive fire broke out in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Prasad Hospital in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district on Thursday.

Firefighters rushed to the spot and managed to bring the blaze under control after an extensive operation, news gency ANI reported.

Confirming the incident, Muzaffarpur District Magistrate Subrat Kumar Sen said that reports received so far indicate three fatalities, while further details are awaited.

The extent of injuries and damage to the hospital premises is yet to be officially ascertained.
