Ghaziabad, July 17 -- A 26-year-old man allegedly shot dead his 52-year-old father at their home in Ghaziabad's Modinagar following an argument over property late Wednesday night, a police officer said on Thursday. Police identified the absconding suspect as Nikhil Singh and the deceased as his father, Hariom Nehra. The family lived in Budana village in Modinagar. Police said Nehra was at home on Wednesday night with his elder son when the suspect, arrived around 11pm."They got into an argument as Singh adamantly demanded a larger share in his father's property," Bhaskar Verma, assistant commissioner of police, Modinagar, said, adding that Nehra's property was valued at around Rs.150 crore.
