2 Cong leaders in Jail over Ladakh violence Freed
Leh, April 19 -- Two Congress leaders, including a former MLA, were released from the Leh district jail on Saturday after spending nearly seven months in detention in connection with the September 2025 violence that left four persons dead and scores injured, officials said.
Former J-K member of legislative assembly Deldan Namgyal and LAHDC Leh councillor Smanla Dorje were accorded a traditional welcome by a large number of locals, led by leaders of the Leh Apex Body (LAB), soon after they walked out of prison following the grant of bail by the high court on Friday.
