India, Sept. 13 -- An 18-year-old man who was allegedly abducted and assaulted by two truck drivers on suspicion of stealing articles from a parked truck succumbed to his injuries in northwest Delhi's Bhalswa Dairy, and police have arrested two people in connection with the case, an officer said on Sunday.

Police said, on August 29, accused identified as Muntiyaz and Naeem allegedly assaulted Ram Kumar, a resident of Kalandar Colony, and four others for attempting to steal cables and other articles from the parked truck.

The accused also video-graphed the assault and uploaded the video on social media. In the purported video, Kumar can be seen tied up, kicked and beaten up with sticks. HT could not independently verify the video.
