New Delhi, July 15 -- The Centre's gross direct tax collections rose 16.11% year-on-year to Rs.7.74 lakh crore so far in FY27, driven by higher corporate and non-corporate tax revenues, according to government data released on Tuesday. Despite a sharp rise in refunds, net direct tax collections grew 16.4% to Rs.6.51 lakh crore. P18
