150 B'deshi nationals shifted from J&K to Bengal for deportation
Srinagar, Oct. 6 -- Around 150 suspected Bangladeshi nationals, who were allegedly staying illegally in Jammu & Kashmir, were moved to West Bengal on Monday to initiate their deportation process, officials aware of the matter said.
According to officials, a joint survey conducted by the J&K administration and state police across the Kashmir Valley, found around 600 illegal Bangladeshi nationals in the region. "Around 150 individuals believed to be of Bangladeshi origin were flown out of Srinagar on Monday morning," the officials said, requesting anonymity.
