India, Oct. 16 -- CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke was detained while on his way to Connaught Place's Central Park to participate in the 'Lehra Do Tiranga' event. The CJP founder had called for the event a couple of days earlier to protest the arrests of Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das.

Police detained Dipke shortly after he stepped out of the house where he was staying in Delhi on Friday.

In a video shared by the CJP, Dipke can be heard saying that he was alone and had not violated any law merely by stepping outside.

"Maine abhi violation kaise kiya hai? Main akela hoon (I am alone, how did I violate any order)," he said, asking how he had violated the law and pointing out that the others present were members of the media.
