'Baseless': India rejects Pakistan minister Ishaq Dar's remarks on Kashmir at ASEAN meet
India, July 23 -- India on Thursday accused Pakistan of using a multilateral gathering to spread falsehoods and divert attention from its record of sponsoring terrorism after Pakistani foreign minister Ishaq Dar raised the Kashmir issue and suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty at an Asean-related meeting in the Philippines.
Dar, who is also Pakistan's deputy prime minister, sought global support to resolve conflicts in South Asia and said the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty has to be handled through dialogue and adherence to international law while addressing the Asean Regional Forum (ARF) ministerial meeting in Manila. India was represented at the meet by external affairs minister S Jaishankar.
