India, March 18 -- With the makers of Karuppu, the upcoming Tamil film starring Suriya, being questioned back and forth by fans to announce the release date, the team has finally officially announced that it will hit theatres on May 14. The film is written and directed by RJ Balaji.

It is some good news for Suriya fans who have been waiting with bated breath to know the release date of Karuppu. The film will now arrive in theatres on May 14, the team announced by releasing a red-tinted poster, confirming the release plans just after the Election Commission has unveiled the election dates for the state.
