Kathmandu, April 9 -- Nepal is hosting the South Asia Regional Qualifying event for the ITF Asia 12 & Under Team Competition in Satdobato, Lalitpur, from April 13 to 17.

The Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) started the tournament in 2017. It is now being organised directly under the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

Nepal Tennis Association (NTA) announced the qualifying event, which will see the participation of six South Asian teams, through a press conference at the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) in Tripureshwar, Kathmandu, on Thursday.

"And it is the fifth time Nepal is hosting the South Asian Qualifying event," said Manohar Das Mool, president at the NTA. "Nepal hosted the event in 2017, 2018, 2022 and 2024."
